So
I'm normally not the best at writing book reviews. Sure, I can string a
few words together into a somewhat coherent statement expressing my
opinion of the book in question; but for the most part, when I come
across a book worthy of review, I am simply thrust into silence.
This
constraint is by no means a negative response to writers and their
writings. It is in fact what appears to be a defense mechanism on my
part. When a book is so impactful that it is review-worthy, I find
myself humbled by my lexemic and semantic capacities, or lack thereof.
Somehow, this person managed to capture language so impeccably, to
express ideas so profound, in a manner so significant but at the same
time exquisite, and I'm supposed to mirror that?
In my
mind, the review is supposed to capture the essence of the book without
ruining its appeal. I, am largely incapable of that. As such, in this
segment, I will simply offer a running list of noteworthy books I come
across. I ask that you pardon my inability to confer more. After all,
I'm the one still wondering why its called a book review and not simply a
view of book or book-view... given that I only read the book once.
